Greetings everyone,

Thank you to all of you who have been asking about us. And thank you for praying for us
As I write this note , I am hearing planes passing over our heads and immediately after the muffled sound of an explosion.
We are now 10 days into the war and according to the ministry of social affairs there are 816000 persons who have registered. Not counting the ones who didn’t register.
580 shelters have opened up and the numbers of internally displaced people is swelling everyday .

Some are still sleeping in cars or on the side of the roads since shelters are at max capacity.
When I say shelters I don't mean a real shelters. It means a public school turned into a living space, with not enough bathrooms, no hot water, and no showers.

Many municipalities have closed their doors to the Shiite population for fear that Hezbollah leaders would hide among civilians and cause a strike in their area.

At Triumphant Mercy we have been busy gathering information, meeting with heads of municipalities and checking on people living in rented apartments. We try to help as much as we can with meals, mattresses, blankets, pillows. In this we discovered is what people need most is prayer and comfort.

Many Christian villages on the border with Israel have not evacuated, for fear of loosing their homes.
And on our western border the Syrian army has mobilized a large number of soldiers waiting to come into Lebanon.

Just few minutes ago, Israel told the Lebanese government through intermediaries to rein in Hezbollah or civilian facilities will also be targeted.

Please pray that the Lord will quicken the process. This is a time of change and the process is painful.
Pray also for us that we would be a source of comfort to many (both spiritually and physically)
And pray for our safety and the safety of people around us.

Many blessings,
Nuna
