Stories

There are only moments of silence at the center now in between the rotation of people coming and going.

Displaced families from the south coming in to register, while at the same time mattresses, supplies, food and deliveries going out.

Everywhere there is stacks of supplies to give. From mattresses stacked against one wall to diapers and cleaning supplies stack against another. Even as I write this, I’m interrupted to help unload a car full of clothing.

This has been the normal for the last two months. Each day we come not sure exactly what will be on the list for the day. Will we be packing? Will we be visiting? Will we be delivering?

The one thing that is constant, is a few volunteers. These aren’t any volunteers though. These volunteers are from among the displaced. One volunteer said,

“I went and helped at other places too, but I saw your team was the only team working with such joy that I decided I wanted to spend my time with you all.”

Instead of choosing to give up they are choosing to help serve their neighbors in the same situation.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has created a wave crashing in on those who were already struggling just to pay their electricity and school fees and now the stress from the war is also laid on them.

Triumphant Mercy has always prided itself in flexibility in responding to what is needed for the community at that moment. Whether that is a practical need like food or medication or an emotional or spiritual need like encouragement, hope or prayer.

Triumphant Mercy is dedicated to being the hands and feet of Jesus to the community, and to those who are displaced. Sitting and hearing stories, sharing tears and reminding them that God hears, and that He has not forgotten.
