Aya woke up to the sound of her daughter crying. She reached out to her in the dark and pulled her close, whispering calming words to her to help her to get back to sleep.  Aya and her daughter left Baalbek an area with many Hezbollah members that has been repeatedly hit by the Israeli army. They fled or the sake of her daughter, who was struggling. Any loud sound makes her upset and causes her to start crying.

At our center in Saadneyal, near Zahle, Aya and her daughter have found a safe place. She told us how grateful she was and how she feels supported by the center.

What made her the happiest though was that her daughter told her how safe she feels at our center and how much she loves coming.  Even telling her that she wants to keep coming even when they go home.

This is one of our key priorities. A safe place where even in the midst of war and hopelessness there is a place their soul can rest, in His presence.
