A Place of Peace
You could see the sadness and heaviness as Claude came in that week to bible study. She began by sharing with us that after living in the same home for more than 45 years had been asked to move. She asked the bible study to pray.
The new rental law allows the landlords to increase the rent after many years of having to keep it stable. At first, she began looking and all the rents were so high she was scared she would have to take one and strive each month. She shared this the next week at bible, the ladies prayed again.
The next week she came in beaming. She had found a place! It was smaller but it was actually under her budget! She gave thanks for the prayers that the bible study ladies had prayed her.
When we visited her last week, you could feel the sense of peace when coming in. When we prayed with her, and she asked God for this home to be more than just a place for her to live. She prayed that it would become a refuge for every weary person, and a light in that area; a place where the light, peace, and love of Christ would shine.
