Keep on Dreaming
The day she got the message Marwa was depressed all day. She had enjoyed going to school and love learning and looked forward to changing the circumstances of her family through her education, but the school had to close, by orders of the government. Triumphant Mercy’s school closed but opportunities did not. After the school closed one of the TM staff asked Ms. Samar to reach out to Marwa and tell her about the sewing course she was giving in the camps. They had seen the promise in Marwa and didn’t want her to stop. And they were right after a couple classes she had found a new passion. Despite being young she was very talented and has started her own business. She now has dreams of being a fashion designer.
For Marwa the sewing course wasn’t just a place to learn a skill, but a place to find a passion, a place to make money to help her family. But bigger than that it is a place for her to continue to dream. Just because the school closed its doors it didn’t mean that Marwa had to stop dreaming. Her dreams just changed directions, and she found something she may not have before.
At Triumphant Mercy we love being a part of this process seeing small dreams begin to become reality. Seeing young people finding their passion, use their talents and seeing God’s gift flourish. Just because one door closes, that doesn’t mean that God won’t open a better and bigger one.
